The most innovative companies in the world

Business Week has collaborated with Boston Consulting Group to publish their 2010 list of the 50 most innovative companies in the world based on a survey of corporate executives. There has been considerable movement in the list from previous years although Apple retains a firm grip on the top spot.  China with 4 entries, India with 2 and South Korea with 3 have all increased their showing.  Britain has 4 entrants – Virgin, BSkyB, Vodafone and HSBC.  Germany has 3 companies in the list and France has none. Ambush marketing – is it ethical?

Do you think ambush marketing is fair game or is it unethical? Did you see this report from South Africa?

Fifa ordered the low-cost carrier Kalula to drop its adverts which implied an association with the World Cup. Kalula complied.

If you were a sponsor of the world cup and had paid a small fortune for the privilege then you would be pretty angry at people muscling in on the act for free.  On the other hand Fifa does not own the symbol for a football or a stadium or a national flag, so why can’t you just happen to use those in the same year as the World Cup?
